Covert Hook Aligners improve the effectiveness of many rigs by controlling and improving the way the hook twists and grips the carp's mouth.

Hook Aligners are made of a flexible rubber compound that extends over the hook eye and fits securely when positioned. The exit angle for the hook link material has been specified to improve hooking potential, without closing the hook gap.

So how do they work?

The size, length and angle of the kicker have been specified to force the hook to twist more aggressively when the hook bait has been swallowed or inhaled by a feeding carp. Rigs incorporating a hook aligner will react quicker and the hook holds will be positioned in the lower lip or scissors. Incorporating a hook aligner also ensures that the hook will twist effectively in whatever direction the fish approaches the hook bait. This means you will hook and catch more fish...

You can use them with a wide variety of hook patterns and almost any hook connection; be it monofilament, braid or stripped leaders.

Hook Aligners are quick and easy to use. No need to steam, shrink or shape before use! Just follow these simple steps:

Thread the Hook Aligner onto the terminal using a baiting needle.

We have found it easier with a braided hair needle as it doesn't get stuck pulling the terminal through the rubber compound used in their manufacture.

Position the Hook Aligner (as shown in the diagram) by pushing the Hook Aligner over the eye of the hook.

*To ensure rigs incorporating Hook Aligners work to their full potential, always ensure the curve of the Hook Aligner is facing inwards aligning with the point of the hook.
