The gauge of wire used in making the hook and eye has been increased for added strength and both the inside diameter and the opening of the hook have been "adjusted" to make them much easier to use, so fitting and removing them from the hook eye is a breeze!

These adaptations mean that they are now completely reusable, as it is no longer necessary to distort the hook to close them once mounted on the hook.
