Deluxe Pencil Marker Float

These high quality, slim bodied, finned balsa casting floats have an improved swivel attachment and fly extremely smoothly, which really helps reduce tangles that can occur if a casting float wobbles in flight.

There are two sizes of pencil casting floats available:

The “Standard” floats are great all-purpose casting floats for general use or ultra-long distances where the slim aerodynamic design aids casting.

“Big” floats are ideal for long range use (because they are more visible) or in grass where the extra buoyancy helps the casting float rise to the surface.

The extra long swivel attachment ring is deeply embedded and glued into the balsa body to prevent the swivel from falling off (a common problem with alternative balsa floats).

Dark green body and fluorescent orange tip for optimum visibility in low light conditions. Standard – Length = 20.5cm, Diameter (body) = 1cm, (fins) = 3.5cm.

Large – Length = 22.5cm, Diameter (body) = 1.6cm, (fins) = 3.5cm.

To properly set up a Deluxe Pencil Marker float:

Thread a size 8 Flexi-Ring swivel onto the braided main line (loop on line).

Attach a 3-4 ounce lead through a 6-8 inch lead connection.

Thread a bead onto the main line, then tie the Deluxe Pencil Marker float to the end of the line… and you’re ready to go!
