The new GT-HD is produced exclusively for Gardner Tackle from a unique formula of high quality copolymer using cutting edge manufacturing processes to give the line low stretch and a crisp feel without compromising other key characteristics.


After all, why develop a line that feels great if it doesn’t have the high knot strength, great abrasion resistance, fast sinking, and nice soft, flexible feel that anglers want. By developing a main line that brings all of these features together, “GT-HD” sets a new benchmark in high-performance copolymer main lines. Finally, by producing GT-HD in a cool low-visibility color, we’ve created a line that simply outperforms other low-stretch lines in every way.


The reduced stretch gives excellent feedback at the rod tip when feeling the lead down low and provides improved/enhanced bite indication at long range.

The smooth finish and soft feel deliver superior casting performance.

GT-HD is formulated to sink quickly and settle flush to the lake bottom.

This line has exceptionally high knot strength and high abrasion resistance. The low visibility green color provides superb camouflage whether you are fishing with loose or tight lines.

For best performance, we recommend a Palomar knot with GT-HD (although Grinner and Fig.8 loops will still exceed the listed breaking strength).

*We recommend winding the GT-HD with the label facing up (the line comes out counterclockwise) and periodically checking the line twist for the best possible results.
