HEAVY CASTING 2SEC. – SURFCASTING ROD

The Heavy Casting technique, from which this rod takes its name, originated in Greece a few years ago and is now spreading throughout Europe with enormous success in terms of record catches of large snappers, leerfish, bluefish, rays, groupers, sharks, and many other large predators, combining the characteristics of both rockfishing and extreme surfcasting. It is also used in South Africa to catch large sharks from the beach using "full braid" rigs with truly substantial diameters. We also performed platform tests with a ground rig and 175g of lead, achieving distances of nearly 230m. Available as standard only blank, but a custom setup, handcrafted in Italy with Fuji guides, is available upon request.
