At the heart of the MAGLEV is a 45mm ultra-long cast spool, designed to maximise line lay and deliver effortless ultra-long-distance casting performance. Combined with a Slow O.S.C. (Slow Oscillation System) that produces perfectly spaced line coils, the result is impeccable line lay, enhanced casting efficiency, and consistent accuracy, cast after cast.

Power and Precision Engineering

Built without compromise, the MAGLEV features an ultralight yet incredibly robust magnesium body, paired with an advanced forged carbon rotor for exceptional rigidity and balance under load. Internally, precision CNC-cut brass and aluminium gears deliver unparalleled smoothness, strength, and longevity.

A stainless-steel main shaft and worm drive gearing system ensure rock-solid alignment and reliable performance, while 11 + 1 shielded stainless steel ball bearings provide silky-smooth rotation and flawless control even under extreme pressure.

Advanced Line Management

The innovative IntraSpool™ floating line guard system represents a significant leap forward in line control. By eliminating the traditional gap beneath the spool and maintaining consistent spacing regardless of spool height, it drastically reduces the risk of line slipping behind the spool, whilst still allowing for precise line-lay adjustment.

Twin integrated spring-loaded line clips offer secure and gentle line control for repeated long-distance casts, while the oversized anti-twist ceramic line roller ensures smooth, controlled line retrieval every time.

The Advanced Cross Carbon Quick-Torque drag system provides rapid, precise adjustment with an impressive 30kg of stopping power, giving you ultimate confidence against hard-fighting fish at range. Instant anti-reverse and micro-adjusting line-lay washers allow you to fine-tune your performance. For the first time from Sonik, the MAGLEV features an integrated lubrication port, making maintenance easy and ensuring long-lasting smoothness. Supplied with lubricating oil, this is a reel designed to deliver flawless performance session after session.

Lightweight, Strong, and Premium Finish

Despite their robust construction, MAGLEV carp reels remain incredibly lightweight: the 14000 model tips the scales at just 556g and the 18000 at 566g. The silk black anodised CNC aluminium handle, with a classic wooden barrel finish, provides a secure and refined feel, while the HollowCurve™ seamless one-piece bail arm ensures maximum rigidity and smooth line flow.

With a gear ratio of 4.8:1, the MAGLEV retrieves an impressive 1.17m per turn (14000) and 1.27m per turn (18000), combining speed, control, and effortless power.
