FLUORESCENT NEON
A floating artificial bloodworm. Our large floating Niteglow maggots can be used in a variety of ways and have proven very effective for carp, tench and bream. Carp anglers in particular have found that the extra buoyancy they offer over our standard sized maggots is a real advantage when using larger, heavier gauge hooks.
One presentation that particularly stood out during field testing was a slip-D rig, which combined a large worm imitation with several real worms to produce a lively “jellyfish” effect.
If fishing on bottom debris or weed, you can get a blunt hook bait or a critically balanced bait by pairing it with a suitably sized hook. Also useful where small fish are a nuisance, constantly snatching real maggots from the hook. Our worm imitations work best when used with real maggots, either as loose feed or in PVA bags.
It resists the attention of nuisance species including crayfish.
Tests have shown that blue/green light is more visible to fish in low light conditions. Our Niteglow larvae contain a high quality light additive that provides up to 8 hours of brightness when fully charged. We recommend using our ET43 UV flashlight sold separately, for charging within 15 seconds.
After the initial brightness, the larvae will continue to glow for several hours at a reduced level. It is recommended to recharge after 3-4 hours to maintain good brightness.
The pack contains 16 in 2 different sizes (length 15 and 20 mm). Can be used individually or in multiples on a hair rig.
Bloodworms are part of the natural diet of fish and can sometimes prey on them. By mimicking their natural food source, our artificial bloodworms enable the angler to target fish such as tench, bream etc when other standard baits may be rejected. They can be used singly on small fine wire hooks when targeting small fish, or in multiples on a forged hook or hair rig where larger fish are expected.
