Elongated and solid PVA bags, PVA tubes are popular with anglers who want to fish with a longer hooklength, which is difficult to achieve using standard shaped PVA bags. They are particularly useful when fishing in silt or weed that might swathe a conventional solid bag presentation. They are also useful when using stiffer hooklength materials, such as skins or monofilament, that cannot be tied into a short PVA bag without compromising the final presentation.
