These 1m long pre-spliced ​​CamFlex Leadcore Leaders are perfect for use with a wide variety of lead arrangements from helicopter to running lead.

These leaders are made in the UK using Covert end components and our quality CamFlex Leadcore.

Helicopter rigs offer tangle-free presentations and provide good presentation on many types of lake bottoms.

By mounting the lead at the end of the leader, the final arrangement is extremely streamlined, making this style of rig popular for long range fishing and this arrangement is well known for having good anti-tangle properties.

This lead arrangement is easily adjustable to work on a wide variety of different lakebeds by simply adjusting the distance the hooklink is stopped above the lead. For example, in silt, push the 0.5mm silicone tube ‘stopper’ further away from the lead; this ensures that when the lead sinks into the sediment it doesn’t drag the bait down with it. Alternatively, if you’re fishing on hard sand or gravel, the silicone stopper is positioned close to the lead, maximising the bolt effect. For Chod rigs, simply slide the silicone tube/stopper further up the hooklink.

Ready to go in three steps:

1. Tie the Helicopter Leader with a strong, reliable knot (*see guide below).

2. Mount the required lead weight onto the Covert Extra Small Speed ​​Link.

3. Fit your rig onto the size 12 Covert Kwik Lok Flexi Ring swivel. Hold the rig securely in place with a small section of tubing or a Covert Anti Tangle Sleeve.

Rig adjustments for different lake bottoms:

For light silt and weed, slide the 0.5mm silicone section 8-10cm away from the lead. This means the lead is in the silt but the hooklink will settle on top of the debris. When fishing on sand or hard gravel, keep the stopper about 1cm above the lead.

Recommended connection between the main line and the spliced ​​ring at the top of the terminal:

With Copolymer Lines A “loop loop” is extremely consistent, created by forming a strong figure-8 loop knot in the main line. A popular alternative to using a 5-turn Grinner knot, it is usually best tied “once through the spliced ​​loop”.

With fluorocarbon lines, we recommend a Tucked Blood knot with 3 or 4 turns.

The ultra-flexible CamFlex Leadcore material offers excellent camouflage as the broken-spot pattern breaks up the solid line of sight of the leadcore and helps each colored leader material blend more effectively into the natural aquatic environment.
