Heavy, fast sinking braided leaders are a favourite with many ‘experienced’ big game anglers as they naturally lay flush with the lake or river bed. By combining this with excellent camouflage colouring we have created a very special leader that has proven very successful during development and immensely popular with some of our testers in the field.

Flat Lying
It is superbly strong, using ultra reliable Dyneema for a thin diameter and superb knot strength, with a smooth finish and a soft, flexible feel. This flexibility not only ensures free and unrestricted movement of the bait at the critical moment when the carp inhales the hook bait into its mouth, but also helps it to lay out neatly, out of the way where it is less likely to be noticed by one of these hard to catch, wary feeding fish.
Trickster Heavy excels as an alternative to the leather hooklinks that carp so regularly see on the lakebed, and is at its best when used with solid PVA bags, presenting a critically balanced bait on light weed or for super thin bottom bait presentations.
Top tip: Try a short Trickster Heavy rig when fishing particles, as you can go short without compromising the hook bait's movement.
