Vigilante is made from 100% Dyneema fibres and has been developed to offer exceptional abrasion resistance with high linear diameter strength, excellent knot strength and zero stretch. This unique product combines cutting edge Dyneema braiding techniques with a special ‘anti-friction’ coating that actually helps the braid slide over underwater obstacles, making Vigilante the ultimate snag leader for fishing for tough specimens both here in the UK and on the challenging European lakes and rivers.

Vigilante is much more versatile than just a snag terminal!

The colour and small diameter of the 25lb Vigilante makes it a great carp fishing rig. The muddy brown colour blends beautifully with most lake bottoms.

It can also be used in a similar way to conventional skinned rigs as the waxy finish can be removed with the nail to create a softer section near the hook, but the overall smaller diameter than skinned rigs offers a much more discreet presentation. We recommend a smear of Critical Mass just to ensure it sinks flush to the lake bed.

It is ideal for extreme situations where regular braided leaders fail because they regularly come into contact with sharp obstacles such as jagged rocks, mussel beds or flint-covered gravel bars. Stepping up to the thicker and heavier 35lb and 45lb versions will allow for significantly more abrasion resistance.

Vigilante has also proven extremely popular and reliable as a dedicated catfish rig at the highest breaking stresses, as the braid easily withstands contact with the abrasive pads of small teeth that line the catfish’s cavernous mouth.
